NIKL Korean-English Learners’ Dictionary (hereinafter ‘Korean-English Learners’ Dictionary’) was created with the aim to assist native speakers of English in their Korean language learning by translating the Basic Korean Dictionary published by the state-run National Institute of the Korean Language into English. This section provides users with an overview of the key guidelines followed in its translation as well as other conventions.
